For the past several months I have been discussing with you the upcoming election, the issues affecting it and the candidates running for office. Well, we are nearing the end of the election season and appropriately Halloween is later this week. I say this because we are fighting off the very real possibility of a 60 seat, filibuster-proof majority. I am not conceding defeat, nor are any of my colleagues, but I am being realistic. Therefore, I feel it is imperative to remind people of what is at stake this election — quite simply it is the future of this country.
