Stimulus Signs: Round 2

The Wall Street Journal
The National Republican Senatorial Committee is trying to capitalize on a failed GOP effort to block funding for signs touting stimulus projects and the growing public sentiment against the $787 billion stimulus package.
On Wednesday, Sen. Judd Gregg, a New Hampshire Republican, unsuccessfully pushed a measure to ban the practice of using stimulus funds to pay for the stimulus signs, which are prominently displayed at highway projects.
Today, the National Republican Senatorial Committee said it sent press releases to local media accusing four Senate Democrats up for re-election next year with “assault on the taxpayer pocketbook” for “a public relations campaign to boost the image of a stimulus package widely viewed as a failure by the American people.”
