Carnahan Says Missouri "Should Consider" Civil Unions

The Democratic candidate for U-S Senate in Missouri says the state should consider civil unions.
KMOX tried to find out more about Robin Carnahan's position. She wasn't available Thursday to explain her response to a question posed at a forum at the University of Missouri.
Her campaign press secretary Linden Zakula says, "Secretary Carnahan says that marriage should be defined as between a man and a woman, but that Missouri should be open to civil unions."
KMOX asked Zakula to clarify. "I mean her statement speaks for itself. It's something they should consider and it should be left up to the citizens of Missouri to decide."
