Reid Unveils Tone-Deaf Campaign Slogan; GOP Unites Around Angle

In Nevada, Harry Reid unveiled a new tone-deaf campaign slogan today: “No one can do more.” Considering Nevada’s record unemployment and failed $787 billion stimulus bill, we have to agree with the Senate Majority Leader – no one has done more to grow the size of the federal government and increase the tax burden on Nevada families. The Las Vegas Sun’s Jon Ralston reports: Reid kicked off the general election campaign… with a new ad emphasizing his ability to bring jobs to Nevada.

Hotline OnCall’s Reid Wilson writes that Harry Reid faces “the ultimate referendum race” in November after his primary, where more than 25 percent of Democrats chose someone other than the embattled the Senate Majority Leader.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports: “Senator Reid and his campaign have… made clear that the only way they can win is by…playing dirty…” NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh said. “… we are committed to helping [Angle] win in November so that Nevadans finally have the fresh leadership they deserve.”

ABC’s Rick Klein reports that Republicans are united around Sharron Angle: “Nevada voters are going to have a referendum on Harry Reid” said Cornyn, “…[w]e are solidly behind Sharron Angle and I’m confident that… she’s actually leading Harry Reid… I think [Reid’s] in very deep trouble.”  To watch Senator Cornyn’s full interview, CLICK HERE
