Once Again Berkley Votes To Protect Big Labor And Their Job-Killing Agenda

Earlier today, U.S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley voted against the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, which would prevent the powerful and unelected National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from ordering any employer to close, relocate, or transfer employment under any circumstance.

Recently, in an effort to appease Big Labor the NLRB blocked Boeing from creating a thousand new jobs in South Carolina:

• “Boeing says it opened the South Carolina plant specifically to build 787 airplanes. This prompted General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt – the Chair of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness – to express his disgust with the NLRB’s job-killing agenda.

“On a visit to a GE facility in South Carolina, Immelt told GreenvilleOnline.com that he was ‘way in support of the Boeing team on this one.’

“Once again, Congresswoman Shelley Berkley has made it clear that she would rather have a few unelected federal bureaucrats – who are only looking out for Big Labor – interfere in how and where American companies can create jobs,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “With nearly 170,000 unemployed Nevadans it’s clear that Barack Obama, Shelley Berkley and their job-killing Big Labor allies need to get out of the way so we can create jobs and get the Silver State working again.”
