Tim Kaine’s Jobs Plan: More Deficit Spending, More Job-Killing Tax Hikes, More Waiting…

As he prepares to face Virginia voters at the polls after spending the last several years in Washington, DC as the number-one cheerleader for President Obama’s failed economic agenda – including the failed $787 billion stimulus, in the wake of which America has lost 2.4 million jobs – former DNC Chairman Tim Kaine is leaving no doubt that he continues to be completely out-of-touch with the actual economic conditions Virginians are facing.

As NBC 29 Charlottesville reports:

U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine (D) said Americans need to practice patience as the economy continues its slow recovery. “The economy still has a long, long way to go, but we’re not on the elevator ride to the basement that we were on two or three years ago,” assured Kaine.

But as Gallup reports today, Kaine’s rhetoric doesn’t match reality, and job market conditions actually closely resemble those of late 2008:

Job market conditions in the United States deteriorated for the second month in a row as Gallup’s Job Creation Index fell to +13 in August, down from +14 in July and +15 in June. Net new hiring is at about the level it was during the recession of late 2008.

“Could Tim Kaine be any more out-of-touch with reality?” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Chris Bond.  “New hiring is still at the same anemic levels as when President Obama took office, and the country has actually lost 2.4 million jobs since that time, yet Kaine is still calling for more of the same failed tax-spend-and-borrow policies that have trapped our families and small businesses in this economic mess to begin with.”
