1,000 Days Since Congress Has Passed A Budget

When Will Harry Reid, Shelley Berkley & Their Democrat Colleagues Pass A Budget?

It’s been 1,000 days since Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and his Democrat colleagues who control the Senate have passed a budget and, given Congresswoman Shelley Berkley’s close ties to her political mentor Harry Reid, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has unveiled a new web video reminding voters in Nevada that the Democrats in Washington have refused to pass a budget.

Notably, it only took 981 days to build the Gateway Arch – commonly known as the Gateway to the West – yet Harry Reid, Shelley Berkley and the Democrats in Washington still need more time to pass a budget that will rein in their reckless spending habits that are bankrupting our country.

“Every family and small business in Nevada has to sit down around the table and come up with a budget, yet millionaires Harry Reid and Shelley Berkley believe Washington should be held to a different standard,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “It’s little wonder Shelley Berkley is so eager to join the Senate as she watches Harry Reid continue to pass the buck on tough decisions, while maxing out the government credit card.”
