1,000 Days Since Congress Has Passed A Budget

When Will Martin Heinrich’s Democrat Colleagues Pass Budget?

It’s been 1,000 days since Martin Heinrich’s liberal friends who control the Senate have passed a budget and today the National Republican Senatorial Committee has unveiled a new web video reminding voters in New Mexico that Harry Reid, Martin Heinrich and the Democrats in Washington have failed to perform the most basic function of government.

Notably, it only took 410 days to build the Empire State Building, yet Heinrich’s liberal pals in the Senate still need more time to pass a budget that will rein in their reckless spending habits that are bankrupting our country.

“It’s simply remarkable that it took less time to build the Empire State Building than it has for Martin Heinrich’s liberal friends in the Senate to pass a budget that will rein in their reckless spending habits,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “It’s little wonder that a big government liberal like Martin Heinrich is so eager to join the Senate where his Democratic friends continue to pass the buck while maxing out the government credit card.”
