“What Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats achieved over the past four years has fundamentally improved the quality of life for Americans across the country, and has restored the promise of the American Dream for millions of Americans and their families.” – Tim Kaine, 1/4/11
One year ago today, before he considered running for the U.S. Senate and running away from his record as the number one cheerleader for the Obama-Pelosi agenda, Chairman Tim Kaine loudly praised House Speaker and San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi for her leadership in Washington.
Kaine had previously predicted that Pelosi would remain Speaker just before the American people overwhelmingly rejected her big government agenda and Democrats went on to lose 63 House seats, including several in Virginia.
“If voters in Virginia want to see who Tim Kaine will stand with if elected to the Senate, they don’t need to look any further than to see who he stood side-by-side with for the last several years,” National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Brian Walsh said today. “Nancy Pelosi has known no greater friend and supporter of her extreme liberal agenda than Tim Kaine who loudly endorsed her big government record of ObamaCare and cap-and-trade, even after it was soundly rejected by voters across the country. “
“As he campaigns for the Senate today, we would encourage Chairman Kaine to invite Nancy Pelosi to join him on the campaign trail and he can repeat what he said one year ago today,” Walsh concluded.
