Three years ago today in an effort to keep the national unemployment rate from surpassing 8 percent, President Barack Obama unveiled a $787 billion stimulus, to which his number one cheerleader Democrat National Committee (DNC) Chairman Tim Kaine immediately predicted would ‘save or create’ 3 million jobs.
Chairman Kaine went on to say that these stimulus dollars would be directly targeted towards measures that are needed to get our economy working again. Unfortunately, that was not the case as millions of dollars were given out to failed green energy companies – like Solyndra – and billions of dollars were given to tax cheats.
“Chairman Kaine promised three years ago that Barack Obama’s $825 billion stimulus would ‘create or save’ 3 million jobs, but after watching the Administration waste millions of dollars on failed green energy experiments like Solyndra and give away billions of dollars to tax cheats, it’s no wonder that the Obama-Kaine stimulus failed while taxpayers got stuck with the bill,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Brian Walsh.
