Baldwin’s Vote For ObamaCare Ignited Barack Obama’s War On Personal Freedom

ObamaCare Gave The Federal Government The Power To Decide What’s Best For Wisconsinites

Nearly two years ago, the most liberal member of the Wisconsin Congressional Delegation, Tammy Baldwin, supported Barack Obama’s job-killing healthcare bill which gave the federal government the power to decide what type of healthcare services that employers, including religious institutions in Wisconsin, had to pay for, even if it violated their own personal moral beliefs.

This intrusive healthcare law is a clear violation of religious freedom as it forces religious institutions and individuals to choose between violating the law and violating their faith, which Baldwin continues to support.  Her position is completely out of step with Wisconsin, as the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel recently detailed that according to 2008 exit polling, 33% of Wisconsin voters are Catholic.

It should also not be lost on anyone that Congresswoman Baldwin actually lamented to group of Wisconsinites that she wished ObamaCare had gone even further and that there had been a complete government takeover of our healthcare system.

“Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin hasn’t met a government mandate she didn’t like, including her unabashed support of ObamaCare, which not only forces every Wisconsinite to buy health insurance, but also mandates what services employers have to provide,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Lance Trover.  “Tammy Baldwin’s push for more government mandates and overreach into our personal freedoms is completely out of step with the hardworking people of Wisconsin, who continue struggling every single day from these decisions that she and President Obama have forced on them.”
