Reid, Schumer & Top Senate Liberals Raise Money For Embattled Kerrey

After making a backroom deal with Harry Reid, liberal Democrat Bob Kerrey is coming to Washington to cash in on some of the promises that the Democrat Leader made to him.   And if Nebraskans want to see who Bob Kerrey will stand side-by-side with if they send him to the Senate, they should see who he’s standing with at a fancy Capitol Hill fundraiser tonight.

Reid, Schumer and their liberal colleagues will be hosting a fundraiser for their former colleague, where they will undoubtedly thank Kerrey – who supports Barack Obama’s government-run healthcare law and his job-killing cap-and-trade initiative – for deciding to “leave” New York City to run for the Senate in Nebraska.   

“Harry Reid made a slew of promises to get liberal Democrat Bob Kerrey to run for the Senate and this fundraiser with the liberal establishment in Washington was definitely a sweetener to the backroom deal,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “Make no mistake, these liberal Senate Democrats are counting on Kerrey to support Barack Obama’s costly, big government agenda.”
