Stabenow’s Vote For ObamaCare Ignited Barack Obama’s War On Personal Freedom

ObamaCare Gave The Federal Government The Power To Decide What’s Best For Michiganders

Nearly two years ago, Senator Debbie Stabenow supported Barack Obama’s job-killing healthcare bill which gave the federal government the power to decide what type of healthcare services that employers, including religious institutions in Michigan, had to pay for, even if it violated their own personal moral beliefs.

This intrusive healthcare law is a clear violation of religious freedom as it forces religious institutions and individuals to choose between violating the law and violating their faith, which Stabenow continues to support.  Her position is completely out of step with most Michiganders.

Time and again when it comes to issues of more government intrusion into our everyday lives – be it the stimulus, ObamaCare, or cap-and-trade – Senator Stabenow chooses President Obama’s side,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Lance Trover.  “Senator Stabenow’s push for more government mandates and overreach into our personal freedoms is completely out of step with the hardworking people of Michigan, who continue struggling every single day from these decisions that she and President Obama have forced on them.”
