Kerrey Claims He Has the “Experience” To Lower College Tuition Rates, Yet Under His Watch Tuition At The New School Skyrocketed By 60 Percent
During a recent television interview, liberal Democrat Bob Kerrey tried to turn his experience running one of America’s most radical universities for the last dozen years into a strength, saying:
“There is a substantial amount that can be done from my experience running a university to lower the cost of higher education, as well.”
Since Kerrey has been associated with the left-wing school in New York City, tuition skyrocketed by 60 percent. Meanwhile, Kerrey’s salary went up by an eye-popping 254%, not to mention the $3 million golden parachute he received when he left the University.
As KOLN-TV Lincoln reports:
“People in New York and San Francisco may consider a 60% tuition hike a good deal, but to those who live in the real world they call it unaffordable,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox. “Deb Fischer is committed to ensuring college is affordable for all families – not just those who live on the coasts – and that precious resources are spent on our children, not multi-million dollar golden parachutes, seven figure salaries and Greenwich Village brownstones for school administrators.”
