| WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kansas, incoming-Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), today announced the hiring of veteran Republican strategist and former top Capitol Hill staff member Rob Collins to serve as his new Executive Director for the 2014 election cycle.
“As I work with my colleagues and Republican supporters across the country to help win back a Senate Republican majority, I’m pleased to have a conservative like Rob Collins working for us to help lead that charge,” Senator Moran said today. “Rob is an experienced and well-respected professional who is uniquely suited to help build our team at the NRSC and assist our Republican candidates in the months ahead. Senate Republicans have a number of great opportunities in the election cycle ahead and there is not a moment to waste as we work to re-gain a Republican majority.” “I’m honored to have been chosen for this position by Senator Moran and will work to help grow this important organization. We have a critical election ahead in 2014 and all of us are ready to hit the ground running,” Collins said today. Collins is a former Chief of Staff for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and is taking a leave of absence from his current position at Purple Strategies. Collins has worked on dozens of races across the country over the years, including work with Senator John Thune, the NRSC, the RNC, and former Congressman David McIntosh. ### |
