Obama after SOTU

The President and Democrats chose four states for his post-SOTU tour: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Tennessee.

These states have one thing is common, not one of them is a 2014 Senate battleground state.

There's a good reason Obama is avoiding battleground states and why Democrats are avoiding Obama. Races where the majority will be decided this November, Obama is extremely unpopular. According to the latest Gallup Tracking Poll, the top 5 out of the 12 states with Obama's lowest approval ratings are home to 2014 battleground states.

Even in Colorado, Obama is down 9 points from his 2012 victory to 42%. That may explain why Mark Udall is avoiding responding to questions about campaigning with the President.
