Ben Sasse is a conservative problem solver. After emerging victorious in last night’s Republican primary, he’s on track to become the next Senator from Nebraska in November.
Here are some things you should know about Ben.
Sasse knows a thing or two about healthcare in America.
During President Bush’s tenure, Sasse was appointed to multiple posts including Assistant Secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services. For the better part of the last 10 years, he advised hospital boards and health providers to adopt more patient focused reforms.
So upon passage of the Obamacare monstrosity, Sasse became a vocal critic of the law.
In fact, Ben was the first Senate candidate to offer an alternate solution, the Anti-Obamacare Recovery Plan
Sasse is not one to shy from a challenge.
When Sasse became President of his hometown college, Midland University in 2009, few people thought it's doors would be open much longer.
In a few short years, Midland has made a 180 degree turn around and today it is the fastest growing college in Nebraska. The university is continuing to add more programs and initiatives to attract students.
Ben Sasse is a family man.
Ben Sasse and his family did not end up far from where Ben grew up. Ben, his wife Melissa and their three children live less than a mile from his childhood home.
He is a strong believer in the right to life.
During his Senate campaign, Ben has earned the endorsements of CatholicVote.org, Nebraskans United for Life and the Nebraska Right to Life.
Ben Sasse will be a welcomed conservative voice in the US Senate.
