To all Members of the U.S. Senate,
Right now, President Obama is preparing to push a second stimulus package that will add even more to our country’s staggering budget deficits and fail to jumpstart our economy. President Obama’s response to our economic crisis continues to be a radical expansion of government and massive new spending projects. Yet, we’ve been down this road before. And after a nearly $2 trillion expansion of government (more than $1 trillion on health care and almost $1 trillion in economic stimulus), unemployment continues to hover above 9 percent and our economy remains stalled.
That’s why I urge you in your capacity as my U.S. Senator to reject the President’s push for another stimulus and put a stop to the spending binge in Washington, and support pro-economic growth policies, including lower and taxes and less regulation, that will help get our economy moving again and create much-needed jobs.
