To President Barack Obama,
Recently, Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa made hateful and offensive remarks in regard to Republicans while introducing you at a labor union rally in Detroit, Michigan. As a Republican, I would like to go on record stating that this portrayal of Republicans as the enemy of the American worker is false. And that the hateful manner in which Mr. Hoffa made these remarks is unacceptable and hurtful to our country.
That’s why I urge you, as President of the United States of America, to publicly condemn Jimmy Hoffa’s hateful and over the top rhetoric. I ask you to “pause for a moment, and to make sure that we are talking to each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.”
