Women's Majority Network
Women's Majority Network Goals:
Encourage,
Engage,
Educate, and
Exchange
- Encourage: Encourage more women to participate in the political process; encourage women's financial support for our Senate candidates; encourage more women to run for elected office; and encourage members of our younger generation to be involved citizens;
- Engage: Engage women members in dialogue with Republican leaders on issues of importance that are vital to our families, communities, and businesses;
- Educate: Provide campaign leadership training for women members to serve as surrogate speakers, write letters to the editor and op-ed pieces, and lead neighborhood networks and community groups; and
- Exchange: Promote the exchange of talents, energies, and resources among our women members and candidates to achieve our common goal in the United States Senate in future elections.
Action by Republican women will make the difference in Senate races and will help elect the next Republican President of the United States in 2008.
It starts today with the Women's Majority Network!
Take action: Join the Women's Majority Network by contacting Courtney Ann Johnson, Director, at women@nrsc.org or (202) 478-4428.
United States Senator Lisa Murkowski, Alaska, Chairman
Senator Lisa Murkowski is the first Alaskan born Senator to serve the State and only the sixth United States Senator from Alaska. Murkowski is a third generation Alaskan, born in Ketchikan and raised in towns across the state: Wrangell, Juneau, Fairbanks and Anchorage. Since joining the Senate in 2002, Senator Murkowski has made many strides on issues facing Alaskans. As she advocates for legislation on the Senate floor, her passion for improving the state of health care, education, energy, Veteran's affairs, and infrastructure development in Alaska is unquestionable.
Only the 33rd female to serve in the United States Senate since its founding in 1789, Senator Murkowski has assumed leadership roles quickly in the Senate, being selected to serve as a Deputy Whip, to assist the Majority Whip on voting strategy and other leadership functions, and as Chairman of the class of new Senators elected in 2002.
United States Senator Elizabeth Dole, North Carolina, Founder
Elizabeth Dole has had a remarkable public service career, serving five United States Presidents and winning 54% of the vote in November 2002 to serve the people of North Carolina in the United States Senate. As Senator, Elizabeth Dole is focused on growing the economy and creating jobs, strengthening national security and rebuilding our military, improving education and making quality health care more affordable and accessible. Elizabeth Dole is committed to making North Carolina -- and America -- safer, stronger, healthier and more successful in the months and years ahead. She serves on the Senate Armed Services, Banking and Aging Committees.
