Actions Speak Louder Than Words … Shelley Berkley Claims Job Creation Is Her Top Priority, But She’s Voted Against 13 Bipartisan Jobs Bills

Earlier this week, Congresswoman Shelley Berkley wrote an op-ed for the Las Vegas Review-Journal where she chastised folks in Washington for failing to focus on legislation that would create jobs in Nevada. Berkley said that Washington should be focused on legislation that will put people back to work every waking hour. “Unfortunately, far too many in Washington just don’t have their priorities straight.  With the highest unemployment rate in the nation, one would expect Nevada’s representatives in our nation’s capital to be spending every waking hour focused like a laser on getting people back to work. Instead of a “jobs agenda,” however, far too many in Washington seem to have an “anything but jobs agenda,” spending precious time on issues that not only won’t help our unemployment situation, but actually would harm Nevada’s middle-class families.” (Shelley Berkley, GOP wants to hurt seniors while massaging Big Oil, China, Las Vegas Review-Journal,…

As Obama Again Pushes For More Gov’t Spending & Job-Killing Tax Hikes In Pennsylvania, Voters Reminded Of Casey’s Support For Failed Agenda

Casey Has Been A Loyal Rubber Stamp For Obama’s Unpopular, Failed Policies As President Barack Obama travels to the Keystone State today in an attempt to sell voters on his latest proposal for billions of dollars in new government spending and job-killing tax hikes, Pennsylvanians are once again reminded that U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) has served as a loyal rubber stamp for Obama’s failed economic policies in Washington. As the Pottsville Republican & Herald reported recently, “Casey has voted with his party in the Senate an average of 98 percent of the time since Obama took office, according to a Washington Post database on congressional votes…”  And as he helped Obama ram the Democrats’ original $825 billion “stimulus” debacle into law, Casey promised Pennsylvanians it would “get our economy out of the ditch by creating jobs and aiding those hardest hit by the worst economic downturn since the great…

With Former President Clinton Set To Visit Las Vegas For Shelley Berkley, When Will She Campaign With President Obama?

Earlier today, embattled Congresswoman Shelley Berkley announced that former President Bill Clinton is coming to Las Vegas to campaign for her. Notably, it does not appear they will be holding any campaign events in northern Nevada.  But this is also an interesting development given that just days ago Berkley skipped town on President Obama when he campaigned in Nevada, and she has yet to publicly endorse him. As the Associated Press reports:  “Former President Bill Clinton is bringing his political star power to Las Vegas to campaign for Nevada Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.  Clinton is scheduled to headline a fundraiser for Berkley on Jan. 7 in Las Vegas.” (Cristina Silva, Former President Bill Clinton headed to Las Vegas to campaign for Nevada Rep. Shelley Berkley, Associated Press, 11/07/11)   “It’s certainly telling that just days after refusing to appear with President Obama, the Berkley campaign is touting an upcoming appearance with…

As the Associated Press reports: Jon Corzine stepped down Friday from running the securities firm that collapsed after his disastrous bets on European debt. Corzine ran the investment firm Goldman Sachs and was governor of New Jersey…
