NRSC Launches New Web Video Two years ago today – with the help of U.S. Senator Bob Casey who voted for Barack Obama’s job-killing healthcare bill – President Obama signed his $1.76 trillion healthcare bill into law.  The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) today released a web video reminding Pennsylvanians of the broken promises from ObamaCare. Premiums Have Increased Bob Casey Claimed ObamaCare Would Lower Premiums When liberal U.S. Senator Bob Casey voted for President Barack Obama’s job-killing healthcare law, he specifically promised the legislation would lower premiums, but nearly two years later families are now paying more money for their health insurance.  FactCheck.org has found that ObamaCare has made healthcare slightly less affordable and it’s causing premiums to go up – not down, as Casey and his fellow Democrats claimed it would.  Additionally, the Kaiser Family Foundation found that in 2011 the average healthcare premium climbed from $13,770 to $15,073, which amounts to a 9 percent increase. Just as he did with the failed $825 billion stimulus and government-run healthcare, liberal U.S. Senator Bob Casey sided once again with President Barack Obama today and voted in support of his controversial judicial nominee, Caitlin Halligan, for a lifetime appointment to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Last Thursday, a bipartisan group of Senators rejected Bob Casey’s payroll tax relief extension, because this temporary tax cut slapped a permanent tax hike on small business owners across the Keystone State. Unfortunately, Casey remains stubbornly committed to raising taxes, because today he and his party offered a “revised” payroll tax cut extension, but again it hits Pennsylvania’s job creators with a massive tax increase.
