Happy (Or Maybe Not So Happy) Constitution Day!

225 years ago today, the United States Constitution was signed by the founders of our nation in order to “establish justice…and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.” This document defines our nation as a democracy, and differentiates it from other nations. Americans have always taken pride and celebrated this document which lays the groundwork for freedom of the people, free enterprise, and a system of checks and balances to ensure government accountability. However, our current administration seems to overlook and even ignore this sacred text time and time again. Below is a quick list of ways that President Obama enforces things not in the Constitution, and ignores things actually in it: 1) Appointing Dozens of Agency “Czars”: The Constitution gives the President the power to appoint ambassadors, judges, and top agency officials, but only with the advice and consent of the Senate (Article II, Section 2)….
