Additionally, Warren needs to release records regarding what cases she legally represented while claiming to work “for the people.” It is known that during this time Warren worked for LTV Steele and Travelers Insurance. Warren aided LTV Steele in attempting to avoid paying retired employees their fair-share of healthcare. In the case of Travelers Insurance, she represented them in their bid to duck paying settlements to future asbestos victims. Not only are LTV Steele and Travelers Insurance large corporations, but Warren represented them in their intent to oppress the very same “people” she claims to be fighting for.

Warren must be held accountable to release the requested records—the people of Massachusetts deserve to know the truth before Election Day.

As it turns out, there is. Warren claims to be the candidate who will fight for workers, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In 1995, Warren was hired by LTV Steel when they attempted to dodge paying health and pension benefits to thousands of retired coal miners.

How can Warren be the self-proclaimed candidate of the blue-collar worker, when she was one of the biggest advocates for a large corporation during the time they attempted to get out of paying their retired employees their fair share in health benefits?

Warren has claimed to be a Native American, a warrior for workers, and a Massachusetts lawyer. None of these have turned out to be completely true. So who is Elizabeth Warren and what else is she hiding from the voters of Massachusetts?

Since Elizabeth Warren was 37-years-old, she has been claiming to be Cherokee in law directories. When asked to provide proof, Warren touts her “high-cheek-bones.” Because Warren has been unable to offer any substantial proof that she is Native American. What does the fact she stopped claiming minority status in law directories once she settled in her coveted position as a Harvard professor tell us?

Warren’s claims are an insult to those who proudly and rightfully identify with Native American nations.

In a speech on the Senate floor this morning – which would appear to exemplify the disconnect between some in Washington versus small businesses in the real world – Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid explained why Democrats are seeking to pass yet another $425 billion stimulus.   According to Reid, “It’s very clear that private sector jobs have been doing just fine” and that’s why Democrats are focusing on growing more government jobs with this legislation.

Remarkably, Reid’s out-of-touch statement comes on the same day a new Labor Department report was released showing that for the first time, Washington D.C. – with its plethora of government jobs – has surpassed Silicon Valley as the wealthiest metropolitan area in the entire country.

Given that Democratic primary candidates Elizabeth Warren, Alan Khazei and Tom Conroy are vying to serve under Leader Reid in the Senate, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) called on Warren, Khazei and Conroy today to tell Massachusetts voters whether or not they agree with Senator Reid’s statement.

“As Democratic primary candidates hoping to serve under Harry Reid in the U.S. Senate, Professor Warren, Alan Khazei and Tom Conroy ought to step forward and say whether or not they share Reid’s view that ‘private sector jobs have been doing just fine’ in the Obama economy,” NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh said today.
