In 2009, Congressman Martin Heinrich joined President Obama in passing a $825 billion “stimulus” that failed to create the promised jobs.  In 2010, Heinrich joined President Obama in passing a $2.5 trillion government health care bill that mandates every American to buy a health care plan.  Two weeks ago President Obama proposed yet another $400 billion in new “stimulus” spending and again Heinrich was there supporting the President’s failed economic agenda. Once Again Heinrich Votes To Protect Big Labor And Their Job-Killing Agenda Earlier today, U.S. Congressman Martin Heinrich voted against the Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act, which would prevent the powerful and unelected National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from ordering any employer to close, relocate, or transfer employment under any circumstance. Recently, in an effort to appease Big Labor the NLRB blocked Boeing from creating a thousand new jobs in South Carolina: “Boeing says it opened the South Carolina plant specifically to build 787 airplanes. As liberal U.S. Congressman Martin Heinrich – who is the preferred candidate at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) – continues his primary battle against New Mexico’s Hispanic State Auditor, he has suddenly changed his position on gay marriage. In 2008 when Martin Heinrich was running for the U.S. House of Representatives, he strongly opposed gay marriage.  Now Heinrich is running for the U.S. Senate and in an effort to shore up support with liberal voters in New Mexico, he has suddenly decided to support gay marriage. In yet other indication of how harmful liberal U.S. Rep. Martin Heinrich’s (D-NM) massive health care overhaul is to middle-class New Mexicans, Washington newspaper The Hill reports today that one of the law’s major provisions is poised to slam families with higher insurance costs: A major provision of the healthcare reform law designed to prevent businesses from dropping coverage for their workers could inadvertently leave families without access to subsidized health insurance. The problem is a huge headache for the Obama administration and Democrats, because it could leave families unable to buy affordable health insurance when the healthcare law requires that everyone be insured starting in 2014. Some of the administration’s closest allies on healthcare reform warn this could dramatically undercut support for the law, which is already unpopular with many voters and contributed to Democrats losing the House in the 2010 midterm elections. In yet another reminder that Congressman Martin Heinrich’s $787 billion stimulus failed to create jobs while driving our national debt past $14.3 trillion, the U.S. Department of Labor reports today that the national unemployment has risen again to 9.2 percent.
