John Cornyn (R-TX), NRSC Chairman Date:         Wednesday, July 13, 2011 Re:            The Democrats’ Disingenuous Attacks The National Democrats’ 2012 election strategy is clear:  First, ignore America’s impending financial crisis; and second, mislead Americans on entitlement reform.  Indeed, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently admitted on the record that the focus on Medicare is a “tactical” political ploy by the Democrats.  Independent fact-checkers have repeatedly shown Democrats’ assertions and attacks are flatly false – but “political tactics” trump facts for Democrats. Obviously, Washington Democrats are not going to hold back on their misleading tactics – and it’s becoming clear that they are willing to use the full resources of the Executive Branch to help them execute it.
