Throughout the past year, Richard Carmona has constantly misled voters about his so-called impeccable resume, but today the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released the third volume of the “Carmona Files,” which reveals that throughout his career Carmona has consistently bullied his colleagues, has been fired from his job and has tried to sue his former employer.     
While it’s been well documented that Carmona does not work well with others and that he makes insensitive jokes towards women, it’s been forgotten that Carmona has consistently been removed from various jobs.   

Carmona has been dismissed from the Tucson Medical Center, forced to resign from the Pima County Health System and was never re-nominated to be Surgeon General.  And when he leaves, he has sued these healthcare facilities, which diverts millions of dollars that could otherwise be used on patient care.

Carmona told The Hill that he will oppose a full extension of the 2001 and 2003 Congressional tax cuts.  According to reports, this will cost small business owners in Arizona with $3.5 billion in lost economic output and could kill 13,000 jobs in the Grand Canyon State.

Speaking on CBS’ 60 Minutes last night about the current problems in the Middle East, President Obama said:

Why did Carmona release a new campaign ad against ObamaCare? Richard Carmona may think he can trick Arizona voters, but the facts show he actually supported it. This is especially odd considering Carmona was a strong supporter of the job-killing healthcare bill which cut $716 billion from Medicare, and costs taxpayers $1.76 trillion.

 Nearly four years ago, President Barack Obama – who personally recruited Richard Carmona to run as a Democrat – rammed an $825 billion stimulus into law that was supposed to “create or save” 3.5 million jobs, yet today’s jobs report reiterates that their failed economic policies are not working.

As the Wall Street Journal reports:

JOB GROWTH SLOWS SHARPLY IN AUGUST: Job growth slowed sharply in August, the Labor Department said Friday. Total nonfarm payrolls increased by 96,000, lower than the 125,000 gain expected by Wall Street economists.  Adding to the sense of weakness, job growth in the past two months were revised down by 41,000.  The unemployment rate declined to 8.1% in August from 8.3% in the previous month but the drop was due to a smaller labor force.  Economists forecast the unemployment rate to hold steady at 8.3%.  Average hourly earnings were flat at $23.52.  Earnings are up 1.7% in the past year. Notably, according to Carmona and his fellow Democrats if their policies actually worked the national unemployment rate would be well below 6 percent by now.

Last year – despite the fact that in 2010 Senator John McCain was easily reelected, we picked up two U.S. House seats, increased our majorities in the statehouse by a two-to-one margin and outnumbered Democrats by 150,000 people – national Democrats consistently talked about widening the 2012 battleground map into Arizona.

Since that time the condition has actually worsened for Democrats in Arizona.  Republicans now hold a 180,000 voter registration advantage over Democrats and President Obama remains deeply unpopular in Arizona.

The Cook Political Report rates Arizona’s Senate race as “likely Republican,” likewise the Rothenberg Political Report rates it as “lean Republican,” and the National Journal rates this contest as the 14th most likely race to change hands in November.

With the Arizona wind at our back, Republicans will continue to tout Jeff Flake’s fiscal, pro-jobs record, while contrasting that with the fact that Richard Carmona was the only Democrat who was personally recruited by President Obama.

After being the only Democrat in the entire country to be personally recruited by President Barack Obama, this past weekend Democrat Richard Carmona went out of his way to try to rewrite history and told 3TV in Phoenix that the campaigner-in-chief did not recruit him.

The reality is that it’s widely known that President Obama personally called Carmona and successfully persuaded him to run for office.  Additionally, Mr. Obama said that Carmona – who supports ObamaCare, which cut $700 billion from Medicare – would shake up the race in the Grand Canyon State.  Carmona even admitted these facts as recently as two months ago.

Liberal Democrat Kingmaker Senator Chuck Schumer is glowing about the possibility that Barack Obama’s handpicked candidate Richard Carmona will fulfill his dream of having a tax-and-spend Senator from the Grand Canyon State.

While Carmona likes to fancy himself as an “independent,” Schumer knows better because like himself he’s a card-carrying member of the Democrat Party and a strong supporter of the President’s job-killing healthcare law.   

“Top Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer is abuzz about liberal Democrat Richard Carmona’s candidacy because he knows that Carmona will follow suit and be a rubberstamp for Barack Obama’s job-killing agenda of higher taxes and more spending,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox. 

Notably, six years ago Schumer was boasting that millionaire Democrat Jim Pederson would get elected in Arizona, but he was soundly defeated in what was a strong year for his party.
