After being in Washington for 14 years where she’s voted against our troops, voted against projects for our veterans while voting to insult a four-star general, today liberal Madison Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin heads to Appleton where she’ll try and run from her appalling record.

Baldwin has partnered with members of the radical Liberal Progressive Caucus where they worked to defund our troops while in combat.  While this was occurring, Baldwin was also supportive of a nasty smear by MoveOn.Org that called General David H. Petraeus, General Betray-Us.

Baldwin is also on record supporting President Obama’s $500 billion in cuts to the Defense Department.  If these cuts are enacted it will weaken our military and destroy over 36,000 jobs in the Badger State.

Additionally, Baldwin has voted against legislation that provided medical services and extended care facilities for our veterans.

After ramming their $1.76 trillion healthcare bill and their failed $825 billion stimulus through Washington, today President Barack Obama and liberal Madison Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin will hold a rally in Madison reminding voters of just how much money their far-left policies are costing Americans.

Tammy Baldwin was a strong supporter of President Obama’s $825 billion stimulus, which she promised would ‘create or save’ 67,000 Wisconsin jobs, yet since this bill was passed the Badger State has lost over 50,000 jobs.

Baldwin also supported the President’s $1.76 trillion healthcare bill – which took $716 billion from seniors on Medicare, including $9.4 billion in Wisconsin – and even claimed that the healthcare bill didn’t go far enough.

These programs along with their other liberal initiatives have forced President Obama and liberal Congresswoman Baldwin to raise the debt ceiling at least five times.

WASHINGTON — While she was advocating for her $1.76 trillion, job-killing healthcare law, liberal Madison Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin time after time promised that ObamaCare would lower the cost of healthcare, yet today a new report reveals Americans are now paying more for their health care.

As the Washington Post reports:

“Spending for private health insurance surged by 4.6 percent in 2011…That growth rate is faster than the rest of the economy and higher than the previous year, which had 3.8 percent growth.  Average spending on a private insurance patient rose to $4,547 in 2011, compared with $4,349 in 2010.  That statistic suggests that a recent downturn in health-care spending may have been a temporary product of the recession rather than a more permanent change, as some health-care economists have hoped.”  (Sarah Kliff, Health insurance costs grew slowly for two years. After supporting some of the most radical tax-and-spend budgets ever in Washington, last week liberal Madison Congresswoman claimed that she’s fiscally responsible.
Yet Baldwin has been a staunch supporter of the liberal Progressive Caucus’ budget proposals.  In 2011, she voted for their $3.9 trillion budget that increased spending and raised taxes on every working Wisconsinites because it attempted to wipe out the ’01 and ’03 Congressional tax cuts.   Additionally, she’s on record supporting their FY 2010 and FY 2009 budgets, which too raised taxes and increased spending.

Notably, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has reported that Baldwin has the most liberal voting record of any Wisconsin lawmaker in the last 40 years.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus’ Budget Raises Taxes Across The Board. “The legislation would let most of the Bush tax cuts expire — a major difference from Obama’s budget, which would extend most of the Bush tax cuts — and add a few new brackets for millionaires and multimillionaires, not to mention a stronger and more progressive estate tax. Capital gains and dividend income would be taxed as normal income, corporate taxes would be raised, and a financial transaction tax would be passed. The payroll cap would be raised on the employee side and abolished on the employer side, taking care of most of Social Security’s shortfall, and the Defense Department would see $1.8 trillion in cuts over 10 years. There’d be a public option added to the health-care system and Medicare would get more power to negotiate drug prices. Speaking on CBS’ 60 Minutes last night about the current problems in the Middle East, President Obama said:

“It’s typical of President Obama and the Democrat leadership to dismiss serious problems as being ‘bumps in the road’.  While they might just be inconvenient to them, to everyone else, these ‘bumps in the road’ are real and they amount to some of the biggest diplomatic and economic challenges we’ve seen in our lifetime,” NRSC spokesman Jahan Wilcox said today.  “Tammy Baldwin needs to tell Wisconsinites whether she shares President Obama’s casual view of the position we’re in. Voters want and expect strong leadership from their elected officials, as well as real policy solutions, but these are not things we are seeing from Democrats in Washington these days.”

Over two years ago, liberal Madison Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin supported President Obama’s $1.76 trillion healthcare bill which forced every Wisconsinite to purchase health insurance and yesterday the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released a report on how devastating this tax is for middle-class families.

According to the report, nearly 6 million Americans – most of whom are middle class individuals – will be forced to pay the ObamaCare tax penalty for not purchasing healthcare.  Additionally, this tax is expected to cost each individual approximately $1,200.

As the Associated Press reports:

“Nearly 6 million Americans – most of them in the middle class – will face a tax penalty for not carrying medical coverage once President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul law is fully in place, congressional budget analysts said Wednesday. … And the budget office analysis found that nearly 80 percent of those who’ll face the penalty would be making up to or less than five times the federal poverty level. Notably, the Wall Street Journal reported that ObamaCare was the largest tax increase ever on the middle class.

“This non-partisan report makes clear that when Congresswoman Baldwin helped ram ObamaCare into law, she voted to impose a massive tax hike on the backs of Wisconsin families and small businesses,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Jahan Wilcox.  “What’s even more disturbing is that Baldwin is so liberal that she believes ObamaCare doesn’t even go far enough.  In Congresswoman Baldwin’s world we would have a complete government takeover of health care, even higher tax hikes, and an even bigger government debt.”

WASHINGTON – Last month the top Senate Democratic leaders who are overseeing Tammy Baldwin’s campaign for Senate made clear that they were willing to allow the country to go over a “fiscal cliff” unless their demands for massive tax hikes were met.

But today, a new report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) made clear that as a result of the Democrats’ reckless tax-and-spend policies, we are already headed in that direction.  The report shows that the economy would go into a recession and unemployment would increase if the Democrats’ proposed small business tax hike and massive defense cuts are put into effect.

“Today’s report is just the latest evidence that the failed economic policies trumpeted by Tammy Baldwin and President Obama are driving our country over a fiscal cliff,” National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokesman Lance Trover said today.  “From the reckless spending to the massive expansion of government in ObamaCare, Tammy Baldwin has marched in virtual lockstep with President Obama and their failed policies are hurting Wisconsinites.

“Under the Obama-Baldwin economy, we’ve had 43 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent, a skyrocketing debt that’s now reached almost $16 trillion, and four straight years of trillion dollar deficits.  This report is yet another big wake-up call that Wisconsin simply can’t afford four more years of Tammy Baldwin and Barack Obama’s failed economic policies,” Trover concluded.
