You may have seen the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s latest TV ad about profiteering Gary Peters failing to stand up for Michigan veterans.

One would expect Peters to try to explain away voting against funding for Michigan veterans while at the same time doubling his personal wealth. Instead, Peters had a Chuck Schumer-tied “dark money” Democrat group denounce the ad, without pointing to any inaccuracies. This is the same dark money special interest group that Peters has faced Federal Election Commission complaints for allegedly coordinating with.

“Throughout his nearly 30 years as a career politician, Peters has always made sure to look out for himself, not Michigan,” said NRSC spokesperson Nathan Brand. “With the help of Washington Democrats and left-wing special interests groups, Peters is doing everything he can to hide from answering for his votes against funding for Michigan veterans.”
