Once again, Heidi Heitkamp is failing to practice what she preaches.
After saying that “billionaires outside North Dakota who don’t know anything about our state shouldn’t be able to impact North Dakotans’ opinions or how they vote,” Heitkamp proceeded to raise 97% of her 3rd quarter contributions from outside North Dakota. If that wasn’t bad enough, Heitkamp took nearly 20 times the amount of money from LA, DC, and NYC than from North Dakota.
“Heidi Heitkamp’s campaign cash shows her loyalty lies with liberals in Washington, Los Angeles, and New York City rather than hardworking North Dakotans,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “It’s clear Heitkamp would rather cozy up to out-of-state millionaires than represent North Dakota’s interests.”
