The Shelby County Democrats appear ready to join the fight against Mexico Joe Donnelly and his family business’s outsourcing. The local party will be holding a “Rally to End Outsourcing” today in Shelbyville, even as controversy continues to swirl around Mexico Joe and his Guadalajara manufacturing facility.

After a bombshell report from the Associated Press detailed Mexico Joe’s hypocrisy, profiting from his family business’s outsourcing while publicly denouncing the practice, Donnelly has desperately tried to regain his footing. But the NRSC has continued to remind voters of Mexico Joe’s outsourcing profits, running a digital ad on the subject and even greeting him with a Mariachi band at his campaign kickoff. When even Democrats are protesting the very tactic his family business engages in, it’s clear Mexico Joe is in for a bumpy ride in 2018.

“Shelby County Democrats are right – it’s time for companies like Mexico Joe Donnelly’s family business to stop shipping jobs overseas,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Hoosiers of all political affiliations can agree that Mexico Joe profiting from outsourcing while publicly opposing it is hypocrisy of the worst kind.”
