Washington, D.C. – The Democrat Party has gone so far to the left that even the Hyde Amendment, a long-standing, bipartisan policy limiting the use of taxpayer funds for abortions, is on the chopping block. House Democrats have been rumbling for months about eliminating the Hyde Amendment. And last night’s inartful dodge from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki only raises more questions.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman Chris Hartline: “Democrats across Washington are mounting a quiet push to overturn long-held, bipartisan policy prohibiting taxpayer-funded abortions. They want American taxpayers, no matter their moral objections, to be forced to pay for abortions all over the country. Senate Democrats have remained largely silent – they should no longer have that option. Every Senate Democrat needs to answer the question of whether they support forcing American taxpayers to pay for abortions.”
