Cortez Masto is well versed in [running] from tough questions, as it took her seven weeks to commit to a position on President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.
Despite her best efforts, Cortez Masto was pinned down and finally endorsed Obamacare:

But Cortez Masto didn’t stray far from her playbook of refusing to answer questions, and was clearly stumped when asked to explain which elements of the Iran deal she opposed, as she stated when announcing her support nearly two weeks ago.

Cortez Masto wouldn’t even answer the easy questions and refused to give a response when asked if she would endorse Hillary Clinton, her party’s presumptive presidential nominee.

Cortez Masto’s refusal to answer even the most basic questions was so blatant that host Jon Ralston called out her blatant dodges, declaring, “I’m just asking you policy questions here!”

The Catherine Cortez Masto playbook is clear: hide from voters as much as possible and dodge legitimate questions at every opportunity. That approach didn’t fly in this interview, and it won’t work with Nevada voters who expect a candidate to actually take a stand on the issues affecting their families.
