The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is doubling its efforts to capitalize on the support of Hispanic voters. This time, it targets Nevada Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto in a new Spanish ad that exposes her complicity with criminals and calls to “penalize” her in the November midterms.
Titled “Juego” (game), the 30-second NRSC ad points out that Cortez Masto voted against legislation that sought to remove drug dealers from Nevada communities, promoted the release of violent criminals, and increased public spending directed at prisoners.
“Catherine Cortez Masto is leading the other side to victory,” the ad begins, then takes a quick tour through her voting record in the Senate. “It’s time to penalize her,” it concludes.

According to recent polls, the current gap between Cortez Masto and Laxalt is tight. The most recent poll by The Hill gives the Republican a lead over the Democrat of just one point, with 11% undecided.
