That’s how many kids in Montana will be left hanging out to dry thanks to Jon Tester’s decision to shut down the government.
Tester has now made it very clear that liberals in Washington are more important than the 44,688 children in his state who rely on CHIP funding. Just last month Tester said CHIP was “a no-brainer & folks in Washington need to be held accountable for playing political games with our children’s lives.”
But now, when our troops need funding and health insurance for children is at risk, Tester is “playing political games” with Washington Democrats by bragging about shutting down the government.
“By announcing his vote to shut down the federal government and end health insurance funding for children, Jon Tester is making it clear that he is not concerned with the well-being of Montanans,” said Katie Martin, NRSC Communications Director. “Tester’s unconscionable decision to play ‘political games’ with national security and health care for children shows he is unfit to represent Montana.”
