Joe Donnelly is upset that he is taking some heat from the left for failing to join the attempted filibuster of Justice Neil Gorsuch.
In a meeting with the South Bend Tribune Editorial Board, Donnelly expressed alarm that liberals were upset with him, saying, “You love nine out of 10 of my decisions. So on the last one, you’re going to burn the house down?” Donnelly also took the opportunity to remind liberals that he was on their side on issues including Obamacare (which he voted for as a member of the House) and comprehensive immigration reform. And Donnelly is right! He has a long history of siding with liberals, even voting with radical Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren 84% of the time.
“Joe Donnelly is absolutely right,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Ninety percent of the time, Washington liberals can count on Joe Donnelly to sell out Hoosiers and vote the Democrat party line on issues near and dear to the left’s hearts.”
