Heidi Heitkamp continues to rely on out-of-state donors to fuel her campaign despite decrying the practice.
Days after attending a fundraiser in Tennessee, it was revealed that Heitkamp took 91% of her donations in Q4 from out-of-state donors. In 2017, Heitkamp raised 94% of her donations from out-of-state donors! Rob Port from SayAnythingBlog detailed Heitkamp’s ridiculous fundraising practices today, and noted that New Yorkers gave almost three times as much money to Heitkamp as North Dakotans.
“Heidi Heitkamp’s fundraising numbers confirm her loyalties lie with liberal Democrats in places like New York, LA, and DC instead of with hardworking North Dakotans,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Given she received more than 94% of her donations from out-of-state donors, it’s no wonder she’s repeatedly voted against North Dakota’s interests on important issues like tax cuts, health care and abortion.”
