Joe Manchin went into panic mode on Friday, erratically sending out his lawyer to claim he supports building a border wall, despite numerous instances of Manchin telling voters and reporters that he does not over the course of the past year and a half (for example, HERE and HERE).
But notably absent from Manchin and his lawyer’s strange whining is any attempt to refute the other point made in the ad: that Joe Manchin supports amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Manchin clearly realizes that his opposition to President Trump and the wall was a serious mistake that’s threatening his chances of reelection. It’s worth asking whether he also regrets his longstanding support of amnesty.
