Washington, D.C. – Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling every major donor in his phonebook with an urgent message: I need money to keep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the sidelines!
Already, Schumer has built up a war chest of nearly $32 million to keep the young socialist out of a U.S. Senate primary. But Schumer isn’t resting on finances alone. He has cozied up to old socialist Bernie Sanders, supporting his $3.5 trillion (more like $5 trillion) tax and spending spree, while breaking his pledge to Senator Joe Manchin.
Unfortunately for Schumer, the Democrat agenda of higher taxes and irresponsible spending is deeply unpopular with the American people. Inflation is soaring, businesses can’t find workers, and voters are finding it hard to make ends meet.
Unfortunately for America, Schumer doesn’t care about the economic concerns while his Senate career remains at risk.
