Democrat Leader Willing to Make Senate “Rubber Stamp of Dictatorship” to Stomp Out Primary Challenge

Washington, D.C. – There might be snow on the ground, but that didn’t stop Chuck Schumer from bringing flip-flops to D.C. Yesterday, he announced that the Senate will vote on eliminating the filibuster so Senate Democrats can try to pass a deeply unpopular federal takeover of elections

But just a few years ago – when Democrats were in the minority – Chuck Schumer vehemently defended the filibuster. Schumer said he wanted to “find a way to build a firewall around the legislative filibuster” and said the filibuster “is the most important distinction between the Senate and the House.” Without the filibuster, “the Senate becomes a majoritarian institution,” he added.

Summing up his thoughts, Chuck Schumer stated that those who want to nuke the filibuster “want to turn what the Founding Fathers called the ‘cooling saucer of Democracy’ into the rubber stamp of dictatorship.” Strong words. Where did that guy go?

Why did Schumer suddenly change his tune on the filibuster?

Because AOC and her Socialist Squad have been pressuring Schumer to end the filibuster. They know that changing the Senate rules is the only way to pass their socialist agenda. And Chuck Schumer knows if he doesn’t do as AOC says, she will primary him. So, he now wants to eliminate the same Senate rules that he once defended.

Schumer’s cowardly filibuster flip-flop proves that AOC and the Socialist Squad are in full control of Senate Democrats.
