Washington, D.C. – In case you missed, WI Dem Senate candidate Mandela Barnes thinks that socialist Squad member and ‘Defund the Police’ advocate Ilhan Omar is “brilliant.”
Ilhan Omar has made outrageous anti-Semitic comments and is an outspoken advocate of the Democrats’ “Defund the Police” movement. Does Barnes think these radical policies are brilliant?!
As Empower Wisconsin puts it, “The company [Barnes] keeps is an indicator of how this liberal politician has and will continue to govern.”
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “It makes more sense why Mandela Barnes refused to oppose defunding the police earlier this year. He thinks the radical leader of this movement and of other nonsensical, socialist ideals is simply “brilliant.” Barnes continues to prove how liberal he is and if he thinks this is how he can win over Wisconsinites, he is surely mistaken.”
