Mark Kelly doesn’t want to fix the border crisis he created, he wants to be Joe Biden’s pen pal

Washington, D.C. – Even The Washington Post is calling out Joe Biden and his Secretary of Homeland Security for lying about the border crisis they created. DHS Secretary Mayorkas received three Pinocchio’s for his egregious lie that illegal immigrants will be “promptly removed” after Title 42 is lifted.

The reality is that more than 1 million illegal immigrants who have been given deportation orders still haven’t left the country. The Biden Administration releases illegal immigrants with a “notice to report” (NTR) and just hopes they will report to ICE.

According to a letter from DHS released by Senator Ron Johnson, 104,171 illegal immigrants were given an NTR through August 31st of last year. But almost half never checked in with ICE. And with Title 42 set to be lifted, those numbers are going to skyrocket.

Meanwhile, D.C. Darling Mark Kelly is doing nothing to fix the border crisis he helped create. He’s voting against border security and voting to send taxpayer-funded stimulus checks to illegal immigrants. He says he’s in constant contact with DHS Secretary Mayorkas. So why hasn’t he called him out on his lies?

Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “It’s very telling that even The Washington Post called out the Biden Administration’s lies before Mark Kelly. He’s all talk when it comes to fixing the border crisis he helped create. Mark Kelly says he’s been sending the Biden Administration letters urging them to fix the border crisis. But Mark Kelly is a U.S. Senator, not Joe Biden’s pen pal. If Kelly really wanted to fix the border crisis he helped create, he would have done it already. Arizonans deserve better than a U.S. Senator who thinks he’s Joe Biden’s pen pal.”
