Biden’s “root causes” immigration plan enriches corrupt governments, leaves U.S. communities behind
As unprecedented numbers of illegal immigrants flood into U.S. communities, the Biden Administration is doing nothing to secure the border and slow down the rapid surge. Instead, they are sending billions of tax dollars to notoriously corrupt countries like Guatemala to address the so-called “root causes” of illegal immigration. As any logical person could have predicted, this strategy isn’t working.
Instead of spending tax dollars to finish construction on border security measures, Joe Biden is sending that money to corrupt governments with no guarantee that it will be spent to curb illegal immigration. As one former U.S. ambassador to Guatemala put it: “This is not a partner government that needs training, cooperation or a little nudging to counter corruption; it has chosen the corruption status quo over its relationship with the United States.”
The Biden Administration’s radical immigration agenda is clear: Keep the border open, send tax dollars to corrupt countries, and leave U.S. communities to deal with the consequences. The root cause of Biden’s border crisis isn’t in Central America, it’s in Washington D.C. where Joe Biden and Senate Democrats are working overtime to open the border and give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
