Washington, D.C. –  CubaAfghanistan, and now Venezuela. Just a running list of opportunities Senate hopeful Florida Congresswoman Val Demings has had to stand up to the failed foreign policy of Joe Biden – and refused.

Demings says she is “deeply skeptical” of the Biden Administration’s secret negotiations with Nicolás Maduro, a dictator who is committing a genocide on his own people, violating human rights and silencing democracy. Instead of kowtowing to dictators, maybe Demings and her Democrat colleagues should focus on expanding domestic energy production.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “Val Demings is so beholden to Washington Democrats that she can’t even condemn the Biden Administration’s secret negotiations with Venezuela’s murderous dictator, Nicolás Maduro. Floridians have shown solidarity with the people of Venezuela in their fight for freedom and democracy and any action that would take a step backwards is unacceptable. The people of Florida deserve to know, if it comes down to it, will Demings speak up against the administration and stand up for freedom and democracy? So far the answer is a resounding no.”
