Washington, D.C – The latest inflation indicator is in, and it is bad news for American families. Consumer prices again jumped to a near-record high, meaning the price of everyday goods is up for American families.
From gas to groceries and everything in between, Americans are seeing the value of their hard-earned paychecks shrink. Even as wages rise, President Obama’s leading economic advisor Jason Furman warned in a new report that “compensation is now lower than it was in December 2019, when adjusted for inflation.”
Senate Democrats do not care that costs are up and paychecks are down. Instead of working to grow the economy, rein in record-high inflation, and grow paychecks, every single Senate Democrat is focused on jamming through their $5 trillion reckless tax and spending spree.
