WASHINGTON – Minority Leader Chuck Schumer would rather quote movies and play politics with middle-class families’ hard-earned cash than work to achieve substantial tax relief for hardworking Americans.
This afternoon, Schumer taunted the soon to be released Senate GOP tax plan saying, “As Clint Eastwood said, ‘make our day…” Voters overwhelmingly want tax relief, yet Schumer is saying no dice, leaving his 2018 red state colleagues in a tough spot.
“The more Chuck Schumer obstructs and leaves red state Democrats in a tough spot, all Republicans have to say is – ‘make our day,’” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “The American people overwhelmingly want and need tax relief, but all Senator Schumer and the extreme left have to offer is more obstruction and political games.”
