Donald Trump Jr. made his way to West Virginia this morning to support Patrick Morrisey in his campaign against Joe Manchin, and effectively laid out the case for why Manchin is wrong for the Mountain State.
Trump reminded West Virginians that Manchin endorsed Hillary Clinton despite her promise to put coal miners out of work, and sided with Obama on 83% of votes, concluding that Manchin’s record is not in line with the state.
Trump’s visit is just a preview of the general election case against Joe Manchin. It’s clear Manchin is more loyal to national Democrats than voters at home, and West Virginians will be reminded of that fact constantly until Election Day.
