Washington, D.C. – With the end of Hispanic Heritage Month and less than 4 weeks until Election Day, Operación ¡Vamos! in Nevada hit a record milestone, but the job is not done. Operación ¡Vamos! in Nevada will continue to focus on contacting more voters and making sure that Adam Laxalt and Republicans have a big win in Nevada on November 8th.
LAS VEGAS, NV – In April 2022, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and nine GOP State Parties announced the launch of “Operación ¡Vamos!” a seven-figure investment in field and communications programming focused on taking the Republican message to the Hispanic community. As one of the launch states, the Nevada Vamos program has been active on the ground, speaking to voters throughout the state, since April.
Just last week, the Nevada Vamos’ voter contact operation surpassed the combined total for GOP Hispanic voter contact efforts in the Silver State across the last six years. The program is proving what we knew all along, that Hispanic issues are American Issues and that Hispanic families are desperate for change in these trying times. Nevadan Hispanics are deeply concerned about crime, inflation, jobs and the economy. The Nevada Republican Party and Operación ¡Vamos! will continue to reach out and listen to Hispanic voters and will ensure they know that only Republican candidates have the solutions to the problems Democrats created.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs September 15 to October 15, the Nevada Republican Party has held numerous events all throughout the state engaging with the Hispanic community. From Reno to Elko to Las Vegas and Laughlin, the Republican Party of Nevada and Operación ¡Vamos! will continuing engaging Hispanic voters across the state to ensure that together we can fight for the American Dream.
Statement from Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald: “I am proud that the Nevada GOP has such a strong partnership with the NRSC and was able to implement Operación ¡Vamos! throughout Nevada. As a native born Nevadan, Nevada has always been a spot where anyone in any job can achieve the American Dream. Unfortunately, with the disastrous closure of our state by Steve Sisolak, combined with the highest inflation in the country, that dream is slipping away, and hits our Hispanic communities particularly hard. Our values of family, faith, and freedom are Latino values, and Republicans will continue to be a voice for bringing increased prosperity to all voters in Nevada.”
