30-Year Democrat Incumbent Holds Extreme View of Taxpayer-Funded, On-Demand Abortions

Washington, D.C. – Over the weekend, 30-year incumbent Senator Patty Murray was asked on CNN if she believes there should be any restrictions on abortion:

That’s right! Patty Murray refused to say there should be ANY limits on abortion. This should come as no surprise as her voting record just over the last two years shows how extreme her views are:

  • Abortions Right Up Until the Moment of Birth: Murray not only voted once, but TWICE, for a bill that “permits elective abortions … through all nine months of pregnancy.”
  • Taxpayer Funded Abortions: Murray not only voted once, but TWICE, against Republican measures that would prohibit taxpayer dollars from funding abortions.
  • Denying Care for Babies Who Survive Abortions: Murray voted against a Republican measure that would require health care providers to provide medical care for a baby who survives an abortion.
  • Allowing Abortions for Babies with Down Syndrome: Murray voted against a Republican measure that would prohibit federal funds from being used to abort babies with down syndrome or other chromosomal conditions.

It’s obvious why Patty Murray is trying to paint her opponent as an “extremist”: it’s because Patty is the one with extreme views out of step with Washington State voters.
