Joe Manchin made a new friend this morning!

On his way out of an event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., Manchin was greeted by a Mylan EpiPen who had a quick question for the Senator. Since Manchin has recently been so vocal about opioids and has assigned blame for the opioid epidemic to pharmaceutical companies, the EpiPen wondered whether Manchin thought his daughter, Mylan CEO Heather Bresch, should stop selling Fentanyl. Sadly, Manchin didn’t have an answer. Be on the lookout in both Washington and West Virginia as the EpiPen tries to find out whether Manchin condemns all opioid manufacturers or just those that aren’t donating heavily to his reelection campaign or paying family members tens of millions of dollars!

“Joe Manchin likes to talk about the opioid crisis in his many cable news appearances, but he refuses to address the fact that his own daughter’s company is a fentanyl manufacturer,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “If Manchin is serious about cracking down on those profiting from opioids, he should start by calling out his own family.”
